In support of NAVFAC–Washington, The VETCOM Group provided construction management services for all site construction related to the development of the Headquarters “state-of-the-art” facility for the collocated Military Department Investigation Agencies. This facility is located at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and was part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC).
Detailed aspects of this project included the following construction management-related tasks:
- Construction surveying stakeout for all site excavation, grading, earthwork, and storm sewer installation.
- Construction of all siltation and erosion control facilities.
- Construction of all site utilities to include water distribution lines, sanitary sewers, and stormwater detention/retention facilities.
- Final excavation and grading for the construction of pavement areas, landscaping, and other special utilities, as required.
